Just done the 360 upgrade/migration/whatever you want to call it
I don't mind the new interface as such, but what I've immediately noticed is inferior picture quality on all live TV channels (HD ones included) and also on BBC iPlayer app (the only app content I've tried so far).
I've tried forcing 1080i and 1080p in settings - to no avail
Picture just seems more compressed, blocky, and generally just less depth/fine detail compared with what Ive been used to on my V6 box before the change.
I am using an admittedly rather old Toshiba Regza 32inch 32LV665D TV - but is that genuinely where the problem lies? Or is it that the VM 360 streaming resolution is just not up to par? Or something else.
Very disappointed so far.
I can't help wondering about the contract I'm currently on and how this has been affected by me opting into the 360 upgrade - it is after all a significant departure from what I signed up for originally. And given the picture quality deterioration, am I not due some consideration contract-wise?
