Still getting charged from virgin mobile even though contract has ended

From contacting O2 they tell me my contract I initially had with virgin mobile ended on 19/08/23. I still have this mobile number and happy to pay for this. However O2 have been charging me and my wife each for a new sim's we know nothing about. £8.70 payments have been coming out of our accounts. And also two £9.75 payments from Virgin mobile. It's all very confusing. O2 have tried putting me through to a virgin mobile number on two occasions now. Because I was wanting to ask if, I have paid my handset off, why are they still charging me. Is they anyone who can give me some advice.

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, we are sorry to hear that there are some payments that you are unaware of being paid to 02, there will be payments being taken for the Sim via O2 as all numbers went over, in regards to the 2 £9.75 charges what do these show us as, did you take out insurance on the handsets when you purchased them?

Anything Mobile related we are unable to help here, it would be O2 however we are more than happy to help/ advise where we can.
