Early Termination charge out of contract
I have received a final bill today with an Early Termination Charge of £59.68. As my contract expired on 13 January I contacted web chat on 20 January to inform them that I wanted to leave. I was told that I needed to give 30 days notice which I disagree with. On 21 February my service was still not disconnected and I contacted web chat again. Assistant looked into my account and arranged for disconnection on 23 February.
I think it is outrageous that they wanted 30 days notice when I was out of contract then they still messed up the disconnection. They now have the bare faced cheek to bill me for early termination.
Is this normal behaviour for Virgin?
Who can I contact to sort this mess out?
You are NOT out of contract with VM. If your 12/18/24 month contract ended you are it on a 30 day rolling contract. You still have to give 30 days notice of termination. It’s all in your original contract, but most people do not read it.
