Virgin 360

I saw on my tv screen that I could upgrade to Virgin 360 free. I am an 81 year old pensioner  and a bit wary of new things. What does this actually involve and do I need to get a new remote control? Sorry for so many questions! Not very techie!!

  • TV360 is a completely different TV platform, a good comparison is mobile phones or tablets - where there's 2 different "operating systems" known as Android & Apple.

If you're running a TiVo or V6, then you're running Android. TV360 is the equivalent of Apple. It could equally be the other way around, but the idea is the same. TiVo-software (on a TiVo or V6) is designed around the recording-world. TV360-boxes (which don't run TiVo-software) are designed around the world of apps & online viewing.

If you're happy with your existing equipment, there is no reason to switch.

    On our wavelength

I quite like it however the installation process absolutely didn't go to plan so if you are wary of not having to tinker with issues, I would be a little wary.

Its basically a whole new platform, much more modern and faster than the old tivo platform but if you're ok with what you have at present, Id be tempted to stick rather than twist
