APP and Desktop programs available is different

On our wavelength

I've been meaning to raise this for some time so here goes.
When I log on to my mobile app I can see more programs listed than I can from my desktop.

As an example, on my app I can see channels 419, 420, 424, 426 on the mobile app but not the desktop page. This is just a snapshot. There are others.
Now we have the Olympics going on and I cannot see 563 through to 569 on my desktop guide but I can on my mobile app.
I appreciate these channels are temporary while the Olympics are on but surely they should both match up.
Is there something I am missing or is this something that needs to be addressed.

Thanks.

Hi bobgodbold

Sorry but only Forum Staff and VIP members have the ability on the forums to tag other users.

The fact that you can't see all the channel names on the desktop page is probably due to how the filters have been set up in the browser on your desktop TVGO  You can amend that to show all channels or only channels that you are subscribed to (only channels you can watch)  see the screenshot below

Just some additional info regarding the numbered channels you used as examples. Channels 419, 420, 424 and 426, and the additional Eurosport channels (563 to 569) are only available to view on your TV due to rights issues.

Just tagging David as he has answered a question I've had before. Hope he knows the answer or can refer me to someone who can.

Ah OK. That makes sense. My filters were set to 'only show channels I can watch' which, if I cannot watch on my laptop because of rights issues, makes sense.
I must admit I didn't know there were rights issues but this has cleared up this anomaly.

Thanks for the response.

WBD has its discovery+ streaming the games, so wasn't going to allow VM to do streaming as well.

What is also annoying is with TNT Sport, discovery+ is free. Unfortunately if you have TNT Sport through VM, you cannot get Discovery+. (Well that's what I've found anyway. I'm happy to be proved wrong of course)!!!!!

On platforms like Sky, TNT can directly control their subscriptions via the viewing cards so you are a customer directly with TNT. VM is a closed network, so access to TNT is wholesale only. VM has no agreement with Discovery to carry the Discovery+ app, although if you are an Amazon Prime customer you can access it that way & get the additional Olympics content.

Nothing is free. In order to get TNT Sports via discovery+ you have to sign up for the Premium pass which costs £29.99 a month.
