New customer, is fluctuating internet speed normal?

Just got Virgin Media installed today and the speeds are an increase over my last provider but I've noticed it's been a tad inconsistent, staying where it should be to about half the speed I should have.

I know that some other networks have a 10 day break-in period where they test for the best connection/ speed available and just wondering if Virgin has the same system and that's why there's some inconsistency? Thanks.

Got phone, tv + internet if that's relevant.

Unlike xDSL from BT, the VM connections don't have a training period.
Full speed is expected from the off.

Use the link below to check the speed at the VM Hub and at your devices...
https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/

Once the test begins click on: the Run full test option to see all the stats.

The speed at the Hub should reflect your subscription rate.
Device Wi-Fi speeds will vary.

What package are you on?

What devices are you checking on and is that over wifi or ethernet cabled connections?

And is that using an App or from a website in a browser?
