Download Speed is just under 300Mbps for a 1GB Connection

Tuning in

Hi,

I Started with the 100Mb services several years back and have upgraded over the years and when i upgraded to 500Mbps I believe I was getting around 300Mbps but I have since upgraded to 500 and then to 1GB but my download has stayed at 300Mbps still.

I use my Hub5 in modem mode connected to a Draytek 2860 and I run all the test wired directly to the Draytek router.

Can anyone please help on how to get the full speed or at least very close enough.

Thanks in advance.

The 2860 is a great device but it's an older model and limited to 300Mbps.

You'll need a later model if you want to take advantage of the faster WAN.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Thanks for your Response and time, I erroneously thought it was Gb as well, well time for a new Router then!
