Security - VM & credit reference discrepancy

I have had a sudden trace search via TDX on my Equifax credit reference and now a debt collection letter which originates with virgin media. The address that the virgin media was supplied to is NOT my address and I have never lived there. I have also NEVER had virgin media. Having logged this with you I was told I would hear back in 48 hours I haven’t. From what I have managed to find out the person has the same name as my maiden name (I have been married for 22 years so not used that name in all that time) and the same date of birth. Somehow TDX have decided to link this to me!!  I have logged it with fraud action line, and logged a complaint with Equifax and asked for this trace search to be removed. I’m just so shocked and upset by this. I have never defaulted on any payment and have lived at my current address for 23 years. Please can someone from your fraud department get back to me. It’s very upsetting and so far I have spent hours and hours on the phone trying to sort this out when I haven’t done anything wrong.
