Area Reference Code????

Where do I find my area reference code? I get a VAT receipt sent in the post following payment every month but I don't see the area reference code on this. I can't log in to my account to find it as it needs to be linked with my Virgin 02 account. I have wasted over an hour trying to locate this and it is impossible to actually speak to anyone at Virgin Media.

    Hi thegodparker

You should receive an email each month advising of the amount due on the next billing date.  The account number and area reference are shown in the "Your account" section towards the bottom of this email, as indicated by the four red X's in the screenshot below.

  • I have the exact same problem. I get VAT receipts sent to me each month in the post and I have those in hand but where is the area reference code???

This process is so backwards. The only help that you can find is 'the area reference code is located on your bill or you can login into your accopunt to get it. Whereon the bill is it as there is nothing on my VAT receipt and I can no longer log in to my account without linking my 02 virgoin account??? It's virtually Impossible to speak to anybody at Virgin Media unless you are cancelling your contract and leaving. After wasting an hour trying to simply link my accounts and locating an area reference code I am close to cancelling to be honest!

  • My postcode is NG16. Can somebody get back to me or I will just attempt to speak to somebody in the cancellation department as it would seem that is the only way you can actually speak to a person these days!
