Please could I ask for assistance to verify that a sales rep who cold called at my door is genuine.

Avoid dealing with VM door to door sales team, these folks are on commission so are very likely to mention a great deal to secure your agreement to take a service, only to vanish forever signing you up at a far higher monthly cost than you were expecting.
