F-secure renewal costs

My F-secure subscription is due renewal and they want £60 however Virgin are offering 3 months free and £30 a year. Do I have to let my current subscription expire first?

I resolved it partly by speaking to F-secure  and got my package downgraded to £30 a year, I will now research and decide if I even need that for next year as the free packages seem to provide similar cover
