door sales person check please

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, and cant see how to contact the Forum Team, who have responded to other people's posts asking the same thing

Can someone contact me from Virgin Media on checking if a doors salesperson was genuine please.

You are unlikely to receive a reply from the VM forum team here in ‘Community Natter’. A VIP or moderator might move your topic to a better forum, such as ‘Security Matters’ or ‘Quick Start, Setup and Connections’ to get a VM reply.

The activities of VM's field sales agents are a regular source of complaint on the forum when the deal the customer thought they were getting via the agent turns out to be very different from the deal that actually comes through. Proceed with some caution, if you decide to go with the field sales agent, and get everything offered in detail and in writing. See below

I also received a PM on here, saying they were from the Forum Team asking for details for them to contact me, which I gave my phone number. I then realised it was actually a random person who had been a member for a week, pretending to be VM. I deleted the email, no options for recalling or reporting 

I then got a call saying they were from VM. However, it became very apparent it wasn't' and another Phishing attempt from that email

the door guy was very helpful, knowledgeable and offering the same deal as online, I just wanted to make sure he was genuine, as wanted him to make the sale rather than me going online to do it.

As advised above, make sure you get everything in writing from VM.  These sales people work on commission and it's their job to be helpful, but do not believe any verbal assurances that are not followed up in a written contract.

Every time we read about VM's door salesman the comments are very negative.

If we can't order online with T&Cs in writing - you do not get our business.
