I’m just wondering when my area will go live? I live in Ba28tw and am wondering when the newly installed services will go live. I’m super keen to get virgin installed. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi nickers250

According to the latest  /nexfibre.co.uk/rolloutplanupdate.pdf there is more work to be performed in Peasedown within the next 3 months, however they don't give any actual dates.

It's probably best to keep checking availability using your postcode regularily on the VM website

https://www.virginmedia.com/  or speak to Sales 0800 064 3850

On our wavelength

From my personal experience there was essentially zero information available, all you can do is register your interest on the website - although it would be nice if it said "coming soon to your area", rather than a blanket "not available in your area". The entire process was basically secret - I just happened to see two guys fitting fibres on the telegraph pole opposite my house, and went across and quizzed them - to be told they were installing fibre on behalf of Virgin media - this was in June last year. From there I kept a close eye out for suspicious activity and white vans 😄 - plus checking for Virgin Media roadworks on one.network. By doing this I spoke to a guy from the team digging ducts along the main road pavements, and installing fibres in them - and eventually the guy fitting the boxes (low down) on the telegraph poles, he told me that once he'd done that, and tested them, then it would be available to order soon after. He was quite right, that was Saturday, and I got an email on Monday from VM saying I could now order it, which I did. It was installed early/mid January, about 7 months after the initial fibres on the pole.

So basically, register your interest, and they WILL let you know the instant it's available.
