Hi all, hope someone can offer some advice please, and apologies for waffling with my description of what I’m trying to do!
We currently have broadband & tv into the living room, and a second tv box in one bedroom.
We have another bedroom wired up for virgin from a previous installation but have never used it ourselves and the cable isn’t connected to the box outside (although it goes to it, but is just hanging inside the box next to the 2way splitter (which is connected to the two live cables that we use).
We’ll soon be moving into the un-connected bedroom for the winter and wondered if it’s possible (& allowed) to make this cable live? Can I replace the 2way splitter with a 3way one so that all three cables & rooms are connected, and then we can move the box between bedrooms when we need to. (So will only ever use two boxes that we have, just in different rooms sometimes).
I hope this makes sense, and if so - can anyone recommend a 3way splitter to use please?
Many thanks 🤞🏼

Yes that is feasible. However it’s a standard £25 fee for the work and the technician will check all power levels etc when completed.
Just wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss with you.

You just need to remove the cable of the original bedroom from the splitter and replace it with the cable from the new bedroom. Perhaps you could also reverse this process in the Spring. You only need a 3 way splitter if you need to have 3 simultaneous active devices.

Hi Ellgee77,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐
This is absolutely something we can arrange for you. As mentioned in Adduxi's post, there is a £25 call out charge for the engineer. In order to get the appointment booked in, I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security. I have sent you a direct message to allow us to do this with you in a private space. If you are using a PC/Laptop then you can just click on the little ✉ at the top right-hand side of the page to access your inbox. If you are on a mobile/tablet device then instead click on the little circle icon in the top right then select 'Messages'. 😊
Thanks,
