Good morning,
I've bought my house and there is a Virgin Media box and cable which runs through my front garden and into my studio room.
I don't intend to become a Virgin Media customer and would like this cable removed. It is causing an issues to my development of the front garden.
The cable is in a green protective flexible pipe and hasn't been buried in the garden so presents a trip hazard in my front garden development. It was previously hidden by the bushes and grass.
Would really appreciate any advice on how to remove this myself or a Virgin technician could please come and remove this from my new property.
Many thanks,
Monica Turoni

It would be fair to say that I am a fairly regular visitor to these pages. However I can't recall a single instance where VM has voluntarily removed an external cable where it does not present an obvious public trip hazard. Allow VM 7 days from your first post and then remove it yourself.

Hi Monica,
Thanks for coming back to us with the photographs.
As mentioned previously by my colleague, we wouldn't be able to arrange for someone to come and remove the cable. We would only look to make things safe so in this case, we would send someone to rebury the cable. If you would prefer for it to be removed, this is something you can safely do yourself.
If you decide you'd like us to come and rebury this, let us know and we can then arrange this with you.
Thanks,
