Outside Fibre Mounting Point

I am thinking about joining virgin media.

we have got in our area and a pole less than 20 metres away would feed my house via a new cable attaching to the ourside of the building.

My question is this, when the cable attaches to the outside of my house can the cable be attached to the brickwork and not the fascia as I dont want it attaching to the fascia as they might get replaced soon and if they are attached to the fascia replacing those would be difficult.

So yeah, can the cable be attached to the brickwork then ran down inside the house?

In theory there's no reason why the cable can't be fixed to the brickwork, mine is.

But you'd have to be there at the time to make sure it's done that way. You wouldn't be able to book this in advance due to the disorganised way VM installations are arranged.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

You could fit the bracket yourself if you want to make sure they don't chuck it on the fascia, search for BT bracket 22

Thanks for reaching out to us @MrHoneyBadger, and a very warm welcome to you!

Pleased to hear you're interested in joining Virgin Media, and as @jpeg advises, being present on the day of the external work being completed would be a wise idea as you would then be in a position to discuss the placing of the cabling.

Thanks
