Hi,
Virgin dug up out town around 6 to 8 months ago.
When I use postcode checker the addresses 1 to let's say 30 can proceed with an order (and 2gig at that) however 31- 60 cannot.
Initially when the work was being carried out the postcode check said something along the lines of 'hold on tight, we are working in your area'. Now it is saying 'keep me posted'.
I can even see virgin Media's equipment on the telephone pole from my front door step. And really not sure why they have decided to dig up 90% of the town but use a telephone pole for our address?
Anyway I hope someone here can help get the ball rolling with this.
Cheers

A 2Gb Tier would suggest you are in a new XGS-PON area and as such the fibre to the house may well be delivered from a telegraph pole. It's a similar situation to Openreach, who use poles or underground ducting depending on what is needed and/or available.
As for the actual supply, it may be VM have not built out the infrastructure fully and more is to come.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media. Learn more

Hi @Jah89
Welcome to the community forums
Sorry to hear that the expansion work that was recently carried out in your area has not quite reached you yet. If you need, you can complete the form to keep posted about any further works that we might be doing to expand further. Hopefully we'll have your property serviceable soon.

Ok thanks for that information.
Doesn't really help with the issue though. As I said I'm my post half of the houses on my street can already order virgin today.
Not doesn't it really explain why they have hung the equipment on the telephone pole and just abandoned it?
Plus after filling the form multiple times to no response 🙃

Hi Jah89
We'll fill out the relevant form on your behalf and the field team will then review if we can service your property.
We wouldn't have the information as to why your property isn't listed as serviceable from here unfortunately.
I'll send you a private message now to get those details from you.
Please look out for the envelope in the top right of the page and pop back to me when you can.
