Hi,
I'm due to have an engineer call at the beginning of August to see how it can all be routed through the front garden etc.
I have checked my BT contract and now realise it doesn't end until October. Is it possible to still go ahead with the install seeing as its different networks?
Also, do I have the right to cancel if what the engineer needs to do to the front is unfeasible?
Sorry, i couldnt find anything in the search, so thought id ask on here!
Many thanks

Usual advice on here would be to only cancel your existing BT service once you have got VM up and running fully to your satisfaction.
The reason for this is that VM can get bogged down with long delays if a problem arises with installing your connection for any reason.
Many people posting on here end up with no connection at all when they try to end one service on the same day VM said it would install (and then discover VM springs an installation delay on them).
You have a 14 day cooling off period which begins from the point when your service is activated. See section M of the T&Cs

HI,
A quick update- The install went really well and so far so good- one minor thing ive noticed though, and never really thought of looking....
The rep that called at the door originally said it was a 500mb connection i would be getting, and now having been able to see what I'm getting, it looks like I'm on the 350mb package. I never really noticed it on the contract as i took the rep's word for it.
Can you upgrade the package after a certain time?
Thanks

Hi Steveh70,
Thanks for your post, we're glad the installation went well! 🤗
Although we're sorry to hear about your speeds! You can still upgrade to the 500mb speeds, but we can't say whether your price will stay the same or increase.
But I'll be happy to take a look nonetheless!
I'll send you a PM now so we can get started.
Speak soon!
Meg

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not overly worried about the mistake in regards to the 500mb from the rep as looking at the speed so far, I'm happy with it. For the sake of a few pound to upgrade to the 500mb i would just do it as its still a heck of a lot cheaper than my BT!
Thanks
