Moving house, next door can get Virgin but I can’t

Hi, I’m hoping someone from Virgin may be able to help. My mom is a Virgin media tv and broadband customer and very happy with it. She is going to be moving house and where she is moving to is showing that she can’t get Virgin, however the property she backs onto, literally 12 feet away can. This house has a different postcode and I wonder whether it is possible to get Virgin to look at a location map rather than just go with postcode? We are in a full fibre area with no cable. Many thanks for any assistance.

Are there any Virginmedia customers in her new road? They cable along roads.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

Hi

where we live they do not use cable at all as the town would not let them dig up any roads. I think it is all done from boxes up telegraph poles in the area but not necessarily connected to the property.

Yes, but the connections still generally go along roads. If the neighbours have VM connections, rather than the house behind, that would be a good indication.

A VM person will be along to check for you.

Hey @sacoldicott,

Welcome to the Community Forums and thanks for the post.

With this it is something we can look at sending somebody out to survey the area for you, however we cannot state if they would be able to service the property only check if it is possible, for this I would just need to confirm some information from you via a private message.
