Hello...
I'm about to receive a Hub 4 today as a replacement for the old Super Hub 2.
I may decide to use the Hub 4 in Modem-Mode feeding an ASUS router. Please help me by letting me know which port is set ACTIVE when a HUB 4 works in MODEM-MODE.
Thank you for reading my message.

It used to be the case only the port beside the incoming VM cable was the one to use. However any port can be used now I believe. When in modem mode you can only use one cable in any case.
If you have an ASUS Router, unless it's really old, you would be better off using modem mode.

Thank you @Adduxy for you quick and helpful reply...
I'll test the Modem-Mode set-up after I get the Hub 4 today... and I'm satisfied that the Hub 4 works OK by itself i.e. as a ROUTER.

Note the Hub 4 is the only VM Hub with a fan, and as such be aware you need to have sufficient clearance for the airflow. The fan draws air in from the bottom and expels from the top.
