Recently had a new cable from the VM Street Cabinet installed to my property after a loss of service. The old cable never had green tubbing and was burried. After my gardener has been, there one can see a very visible green tubbing, housing the new cable. This has not been laid into the ground and is in the air at points from the street along my property to the house. I was tokd hy a previous visiting engineer that a small trench would be dug along my lawn to take it .The box on the house has not been up graded to accommodate the new cable and hangs. I'm anxious that it is extremely vulnerable as fully exposed. I am on the VM vulnerable customer list. Help with how to get it sorted please. Many thanks.

Good morning @MarkD4
Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.
I can see you've spoke to the team since posting regarding the cabling and we've got an engineer booked for a rebury.
Let us know how this engineer visit goes.

Hi John, thank you for looking into this. Not sorted today.
The booked engineer has been this morning. He was very pleasant and first thing he said was it was "shocking". He took photos explaining that he would have to report it to the contractor and arrange for them to come back. I asked him to note that they have permission to dig up infront of flower bed border to lay it. He said no appointment given should be done within 4 weeks.
Just to note this was a recent installation and not buried in the first place.
Still heard nothing further from VM on the Automated compensation for loss of service leading up to this replacement, let alone the continued inconvenience.
Many thanks.

I am sorry to hear this.
Did they give you a new date at all for this to be completed on?
This would happen after the job has been fixed.
