During some works on our driveway the wire has been cut. Unfortunately it wasn't an easy fix and the wire need to be re-pull from the street. The team should have come in today but we just received a notification that our appointment was rescheduled for 22.06.2024. We can not continue any works on the drive. Our contractor is not happy about it because he is waiting to finish his job and be paid. Is there any way we could speed up this appointment?
Last team pulled out the wire saying there is a blockage on the street and they did the mark where they need to dig. My question is: will they have to dig all the way to the green box on the street or there can be some connection under the ground on the street?
At the moment we have been without connection for 9 days and I can't imagine how we going to cope for another 4 weeks( if only).
Can we somehow finish the drive and just leave the pipe undrgroud for the wire to be installed later?
Please any advice
Thank you

By 4g/5g dongle? By free I mean free of charge.

It's within their power to give you a 4G dongle, but if anyone on the Forum has heard of it being done before, then let them say so.

A dongle is often offered plenty of times in topics on here but rarely seems to ever turn up. On a topic from the past, an 8 week criteria was mentioned
Those who have had them seem to suggest they were not very good.

I have a dim recollection of another topic where the customer said there was only a fixed amount of data present and the customer was expected to pay to top it up.
Naturally all of the above is just a VM random collection of different outcomes for different customers
I think it is safe to say though that VM is not prioritising the replacement of your cable. If you want to get back online you may wish to consider sourcing some mobile wi-fi yourself by finding a provider with good coverage for your area and getting a rolling monthly unlimited data SIM.
