WiFi pod and the VM connect app

Hi all,

I've just added a security camera on my kitchen windowsill and Ann having a bit of bother with it.

I looked at my hub 5 connected devices and saw that the camera is connected at 6.5mbps only. I have 1 gig internet.

Looking into it, I should be allowed a pod, and was directed to the connect app. I've run a scan in the area, where I got 10mbps down and 11 up. I was given no opportunity to order a pod. The app even described the connection as great... It's my understanding that 30mbps is the minimum?

Not sure how to proceed as the online chat is a bot that wants me to go to my Virgin media account, where I'm directed to chat... With a bot. Or the connect app which thinks it's A-OK.

I've attached a screenshot of the connect app.

Give me a clue lol!

Thanks.

Is the bother that the CCTV camera has dropped its connection rate to 6.5Mb/s ( i.e. power saving ) when idle ?

We commonly see idle mobiles and laptops on our VM Hub with connection rates in the single figures, but they do jump up to fast speeds as soon as the need arises, the low idle speed does not prevent normal operation.

Hey DeXtA211,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your connection and trying to order a WiFi pod. I would be happy to take a further look into this for you and get a pod ordered but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
Kind Regards,
