What hoops have to be jumped through to get a Virgin Media WiFi Pod (the SP01) to connect with a Hub 5?
I have tried leaving the pod plugged in for hours in increasingly closer plug sockets to the hub, ending up in adjacent plug sockets. Nothing seems to work, I just get pulsing lights and the pod never shows up in the VM Connect app.
There seems to be some chat on here about VM needing to provision the pods or add the mac address to your account (which seems weird given they sent it to me in the first place!). I've tried to get through to support on the online chat but I don't have the time to sit there waiting for hours for someone to respond.
Can someone (ideally from VM) clarify what the self-service steps are to rapidly fix this issue?
Many thanks

Welcome to the world of renting locked down products from an ISP !
Call the activation number 0800 953 9500, request the VM Pods are paired to your VM Hub. For the call have to hand your VM a/c number, the full details from the Hub’s sticker and ALL the VM Pods.

Thanks for the suggestions will give that a try. Weirdly, overnight I can see that the pod has been detected and connected *at some point* as it now shows up in the VM Connect app under the broadband tab but as a disconnected device! Hopefully the steps you mentioned will sort the problem!
