3rd WiFi pod

Hi I'm still having issues with my WiFi and it's affecting my Ring Security system. I have two WiFi Pods and I think I need just one more.

I've been trying on the my virginmedia app but it keeps saying this page is no longer available.

Can this be arranged on here please?

    Welcome back to the Community Forums. 
    Sorry to hear of your WiFi concerns. 
    Is it just your Ring Security system that has the issue, or do you find other devices also drop in connection?
    Have you made any customisations to your WiFi settings at all, such as splitter the bands (frequency), adding a customised name (SSID) or WiFi password? Or any other setting changes from the default settings? 
    If so, please can you do a 60-second pinhole reset on the router? This will revert any customisations back to factory settings and fully update the router with firmware/software updates. Please do not reboot the router whilst it is completing the pin hole request.

      Hi Carley, 

      No changes have been made at all on my system, I've had drop outs in certain areas around the house, I sometimes  have to disconnect from the WiFi and then reconnect.

      It's not just the Ring Security system, It's certainly better with the two pods I already have I just feel with a third it could stabilise my WiFi.

        Thanks for coming back to the thread and confirming.

        Have you done the app scans via the Connect App with the two Pods already plugged in?

        Also to ensure the current Pods are not plugged directly into any blackspot areas but they need to be spaced out like a halfway point between Hub and issue area?

  • WiFi dropped out again this morning in one of the upstairs rooms. 

    It says I'm entitled to upto 3 WiFi Pods on my contract, but it seems hard to get a 3rd WiFi pod, why is this? I've been with virginmedia for years, it shouldn't be this difficult!

  • I am having the exact same problem , i have sky tv in another room but the mini boxes are always losing connection with the main tv hub.  the speed in that room is 255 Mbps & 108 upload  , it is 809 Mbps & 109 in the main room where the VM hub is
