Upgrade to Hub 5?

I have recently purchased some new hardware that have 2.5Gbps ethernet ports, I have tried speaking with the customer service team on the phone to see if I could request an upgrade to a Hub 5/5x in order to utilise this, as I'm on the 1Gig Fibre connection - however unfortunately, the agent was unable to understand that I was referring to the internal LAN for my household and not the external, explaining to me that the Hub 4 was suitable for the 1Gig Fibre connection.

Are there any Community team members available to look into my request for an upgrade to a Hub 5/5X, please?

Moving from a Hub 4 to Hub 5 is possible.  Hub 5x is for XGS-PON connections.

Read about the issues of the Hub 5 and its broken 2.5Gb/s port i.e. it does not work with unmanaged switches since a recent software update :

Appreciate the info, I would be temporarily running this directly from the router to the device in question, eventually moving to a managed switch.

Due to stock supply issues, VM were only supplying Hub5's to new 1GBcustomers.  Anyone upgrading would.. have got a Hub4.  When supplys become available again that may change and you can get the Hub5.  Only VM can advise when things have returned to normal
