Hi, I’ve just received a new router and am trying to find out if it is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, also whether I can switch between the 2 settings. Thanks

All HUBs are dual band but the default settings have both bands configured with the same SSID.

Just log in and rename each band if you wish to do so.

The router url is 192.168.0.1 and the username and password are printed on the router label.

Beware of using the Connect phone app, it will prompt you to recombine the SSIDs and also turn on the guest network.

VM Hubs are both 2.4 & 5 GHz, out of the box they share the same SSID making it not possible to distinguish.

If you prefer split SSIDs so you can see the 2.4 and 5 GHz band listed as two entries on your laptop / mobile...

Login in to the VM Hub menu at http://192.168.0.1/  with the HUB Password.

Disable Smart Wi-Fi aka Wireless Channel Optimisation

Then in the Wireless settings change the SSID of the 5GHz Wi-Fi signal to say : VM1234567_5

Remember to "Apply Changes".

Note: if you have VM pods you must leave it as a combined SSID, you cannot split them into two named SSIDs.
