Hi, for some  time now I have had the following  Network Name showing up on my  list of networks, VM9459546-EXT,   my own network is VM9459546, not quite sure where this one came from?.  So I did a factory reset this morning hoping that this 2nd name would vanish, it hasnt,  any ideas as to how to delete this name from the list please.

VM9459546-EXT is typical of the SSID used by a Wi-Fi Repeater or similar device.

Does the network show up in a WiFi analyser app?

This one is the best in my opinion on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer

If you can see this network with a signal level in an analyser app then it's actually broadcasting. If the network is not visible in an analyser app then it's a residual saved name which you need to somehow remove from your device.

If you monitor the signal level and walk around the house you may be able to tell which room it's broadcasting from.
