Re: Ethernet issue: Powerline adapters not connected

I have had the same problem since Saturday, although with a Hub 5.0. I have had the hub connected through 2 TP Link Powerline adaptors for about 4 years with no problems.

I have 3 lights on each Powerline adaptor and PC shows a connection but no Internet. if I connect WIFI to my phone I get a signal.

I bought a long cable but that does not work.

My hub is restarting which turns telly on, twice last night once this afternoon. Going to contact Virgin tomorrow

Use hub in modem mode and get your own router with 1Gb ports

Try a 60 second pinhole reset, do not reboot the Hub as it will reboot itself when needed. Remove any cables before the reset.

Have you done a reset of the adapters?

Thanks very much for your help after checking hub, powerline adaptors, cable. I fitted a new ethernet adaptor to PC. Bingo! That was the problem. 900Mbs to Shed.  Flight Simulator is up and running again

I wanted to check everything my end before complaining about hub

For your information, it has also been reported here that any NIC with the Ethernet Energy Saving feature can cause the Hub 5 ports to disconnect.  The solution is to disable the energy saving on the NIC.
