WIFI coverage in my house is very poor and the VM Connect can't find my hub so I can't run a WIFI scan.

The unreliable VM Connect does not contain a method to request / order VM Pods.
It is all part of VM's give you a run around and delay for weeks or months.
I'd save yourself lots of time and pain on the phone to VM support
and buy a retail Mesh or retail Wi-Fi Repeaters and have a solution in place instantly.

Hi Alessandro and thanks for the suggestion,
I managed to contact VM via the web chat/message system and then transferred to WhatsApp. I was helped by one of the customer service reps.
Since I have a Volt bundle (which comes with Wifi Max) I'm entitled to up to 3 Wifi pods at no additional cost and they've confirmed that an order has been placed for the first of these to be delivered in the next couple of weeks.
Hopefully, one pod will suffice but if not I'll get back in touch with them to order more.
The process was relatively straight forward although there was an initial delay waiting for a 'real' person to take the call.
For anyone with similar issues (i.e. VM Connect not working) I was able to use the Sam Knows web-app to verify that the DL speed in my kitchen was only 10-11 Mbps and therefore eligible for a Wifi Pod. This tool is available at samknows.com/realspeed/
