So today at 3:50pm I was watching my nvidia shield and the trusty no ethernet connection popped up which happens a lot not recently but whatever so thought oh well it will be back on in a sec.... No 12 hrs later still no Internet just a stupid red hot hub 4 flashing white to say not working. All checks through vm test say hey no problem π only with tv yet I have no tv package.
So I log into my modem with my laptop and notice my config file has turned off my connection? Or am I tripping? I've had this 5 or 6 times this year where it goes off for nearly a day then magic back on any ideal why please. Just started a new contract the other day great start π

Note the image with No DS detected - lack of a Downstream signal is a service fault.
Check the Downstream / Upstream tabs to see if the levels are back in the expected range today.
Check for a fault in your street via 0800 561 0061 it is an automated service,
this signal issue may be affecting everyone local to you.

Hey client62 I noticed that too there is no area fault I checked yesterday and just checked now. I've had it numerous times this year it usually sorts itself over night but uts still like it today. We have no Internet nothing the whole house is down.

The name of the config file has the word "cancel" in it. It may not be a service fault.

Hi gitty yes I noticed that, I've since phoned up and a very helpful overseas guy helped me and said they did not register my new hub 4 they gave me a few weeks ago as they said there was a fault with my old one even though I had it a while and it was fine the connection was bad the hub was fine. So reconnected now and my girlfriend just called me over and her game has got packet loss 5% constant going from 0 to 5% connection (wired) I looked at the upstream dropped modulation to 16qam.
Now they fixed that and my errors a month or two back why change me back to this junk I dont get it. I could of took this to small claims a while ago but I haven't and they are still giving me this. Can someone at vm help? Like what is going on this is a new contract people are leaving in droves even forum vip's do I move on like what does vm want me to do?
