Issues with 2.5Gb Unmanaged Switch and 2.5Gb Port

I recently got my Hub 5 with gigabit internet. I was using a gigabit switch with no problems but would only get 950Mb to my 2 PC's. Then I purchased a 2.5Gb Switch, connected it to the 2.5Gb port and for a week had 0 problems. My PC would get 1150Mb while the other still only received 950Mb as it's motherboard is too old. Then suddenly my PC's would not be able to access the internet. It just shows unidentified network or will show it connected but have no access to the internet. The weird thing is that if I connect the 2.5Gb switch to the 1Gb ports it works but doesn't use the full speed. Whereas if I connect my gigabit switch to the 2.5Gb port, that works but caps out at 1gb.

I even thought my 2.5Gb switch was faulty so I returned and got a new one and it has the exact same issue straight away but this time it didn't even work for a week. Just to be sure I connected the same cable I used from the router directly to my PC on the 2.5Gb port and my PC gets the expected 1150mb.

Does anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this or what could be wrong?

You are on the same firmware version as I am, which is one lower than the latest.

can I somehow stop it from updating

Another post has this to say about the newest Hub 5 Firmware  - "Looks like the 2.5Gb internet port when connecting to a 2.5Gb network card, now breaks unless 802.03az (Energy Efficient Ethernet) is disabled on my network switch (2.5gb) or my desktop direct.  You may need to go into device manager on your network card, advanced, find energy efficient Ethernet and turn it off."

On our wavelength

Just to report that I have the same issue, started mid-week.

Hub 5 (Firmware: LG-RDK_7.6.15-2306.5)
Switch: D-Link DMA-105 (Unmanaged 5 Port 2.5GB)

- When Switch is connected to the 2.5GB port of the Hub 5 devices connected to the hub cannot browse / ping the hub
- Connect the switch to another port on the hub all OK
- Tested with Energy Efficient Ethernet set to disabled, no change
- Also tested with NIC "Green Ethernet" disabled, no change
- As far as I can see I cannot disable 802.03az on my switch.

I may try to Factory re-set my hub to see if this fixes the issue and if so, I will check what firmware it has afterwards.

If would seem to be a problem with the 2.5G port on the Hub5. I’ve taken a look at the electronics of this hub and would advise anyone who uses it to connect it to the Hub5 via the SPF port using a suitable adapter. There is a slim possibility that it would then work.

Yep my switch worked for couple days, today doesn't work, connected to non 2.5GB port and it works. Checked firmware and it's been updated.
