Internet issues

Hi,

I've been a customer now for a few months, and everything has been great, up until a few days ago.

I was online, all working fine, when the internet connection just dropped out all of a sudden. No biggie I thought, these things happen, so I checked for issues in my area and saw that there weren't any.

I rebooted the hub, still nothing. I checked the status and it was saying it was online and everything was fine, the light on the hub was solid white. Nothing in the house had an internet connection. I turned the hub off at the wall, left it a bit, turned it back on and when it came up it had a flashing blue light.

I went into the app and booked an engineer visit. Then I thought I might as well try turning it off and on again, left it off for a bit longer this time, and when I turned it back on everything worked as normal. Odd, but hey-ho. I cancelled the engineer visit.

Since then, the internet connection has dropped out twice more. Each time, the hub seems to think everything is ok. It has a solid white light, and when I log in and check the status, it says everything is fine.

I've booked another engineer visit because I don't know the root cause. There are apparently still no issues in my area, so I can only assume it's the hub, or the cabling on my house.

What happens if the engineer turns up and everything checks out ok? I work from home so I need to be sure the connection isn't going to keep dropping out.

When our VM Hub 3 has a white light (normal operation), but the internet is not working for one / some devices
we pay attention to rebooting our network equipment or the computers / mobiles etc that are mucking about.

I don't think that applies here. Every device in the house suddenly not having an internet connection all at the same time seems to rule out it being a device problem. I've got a mix of wired and wireless devices, and they all lose the internet connection at the same time.

Hey WelshBoy, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this, also a warm welcome to the community.

I can see there was an area outage happening in the area which would effect the performance.

How did the engineer visit goes?
