Internet dropping & speeds

My internet drops out a number of times a day, especially when I work upstairs away from the router. I have those boosters but they actually make the problem worse.

However over the last few days, it's been worse. Today alone it's dropped out at least 8 times and when I ran a speed test I was getting around 8mbps.

I'm concerned something is wrong when the router or cables?

I also can't connect in Virgin connect, it says the hub is not recognised?

Please help, I'm struggling to find the correct way to raise this issue

Hi thanks for that, nothing coming up when I test via the link

Hey Laurr456, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this,

I have taken a look and everything look fine on our end, how has it been over the last few days?

New around here?

Hi Matt, it's been about same - it only dropped out for a few seconds at a time. Speeds have been better but they're not consistent.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks for coming back to us Laurr456. You mentioned that you have boosters, are they our boosters or 3rd party boosters?

Does your connection run better with or without the boosters?

Kind Regards,

"I have those boosters but they actually make the problem worse"

The "boosters" are most likely placed too far from the VM Hub
where there is little or no usable Wi-Fi signal to receive and repeat.

Without knowing the size & construction of the property, I'd caution against
suggesting a single Wi-Fi Router will provide enough coverage.
