Hey - not sure if I am in the right place to post, but since having gigabit BB installed I have been experiencing intermittent drops in connection (main use is via a LAN cable connected laptop). I have a hub 5 and noticed that the power levels do not seem to be very "healthy"? Also - lots of activity in the network log:

Hi Solarwind,
Thanks for posting, and sorry to see you've had some connection issues. I've had a look from our side and it looks like we're aware of an ongoing connectivity issue, and I'll need to arrange an engineer visit.
I've popped you over a private message to confirm a few details before I do this.

Please do not duplicate posts Intermittent loss of connection - Virgin Media Community - 5593284
However your DS power levels are too low I suspect, -6 to +10, so you are right on the bottom of the spec. You also have "noise" on the circuit, as the PostRS errors should be ideally zero. Check all your connections are at least "finger" tight.
Try checking with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 or if you have a VM landline 150 as small local faults are not listed on the VM status page.
A VM Mod should pick this up in a day or two and discuss directly with you.

Hi - thank you for taking the time to reply. Apologies - the reason I raised a duplicate post is because my first post was marked as "spam" for some reason (probably all the log files I had pasted in). Hence why I raised a new post with images instead.
I will try the above guidance and await a VM mod.
Thanks again! 😊

(Just checked the service line as advised - and there are no service issues in the area apparently)

Also, If you haven’t already, set up a free, secure and “offlsite” - “Broadband Quality Monitor” to continually monitor the state of your connection and record any true network dropouts , latency issues, packet drops, etc - it will thus allow you to differentiate between those and simple wifi dropouts. It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of any/all of your network disconnections, useful data to have to match to the Network logs (in your Hub settings) and also in discussions with VM - note it will take a few hours to start seeing a sensible picture - post up the “link” to the “share live graph”. Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then, click generate. Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see. On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon) In the URL box paste the link you copied and then click OK
