Exactly how does your Hub say you need to reset it ?

Check the service to your Hub and the performance of your device via ...

https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/

Once the test begins click on: Run full test to see all the stats.

Reset it as the app says.

You won't necessarily got more speed on WiFi though. You'll need an ethernet connection to get the speed you're paying for.

The VM Connect app is utter garbage, I would uninstall it ASAP.

In the 7 years we have been with Virgin Media I have not RESET a Hub once.

Hello mburnip12.

Thanks for your post.

Sorry to hear our Connect App is requesting to reboot your Hub.

Also sorry to see you are not getting a great speed to your Mobile device after using Samknows.

Everything looks good from here, Download and upload speeds are fine at Hub,.It is jus the download speed to your device that is lower.

Can I please ask what device it is it may be that it only has capabilities of reaching a maximum download speed?

In modem mode you are quite correct. I rarely reset mine.

But the VM Hub router functions seem so buggy that a reset from time to time is probably no bad thing.

The only hub to ever benefit from a regular reset was the Hub 3.  If your are really concerned, a simple power off/on will clear everything out that you suspect may be lurking.  A full reset is pointless.
