Apologies if my technical terms are not correct here.
I currently have a Hub 7 with a 6 port Ethernet Switch throuhg a Cat6 cable as the WIFI at the upstairs rear of the house, where my office is located, is beyond rubbbish. I also have 2 pods already but this does not really help with signal or speed in the office.
My question is, can i ADD a modem/router AFTER the switch to provide WIFI access in the Office. Is there a specificiation i would need to look for or any settings to change on the hub to allow this.
Most things are cabled from the switch but i have a WIFI router, Alexa etc which cant be cabled.
Thanks

Good access points are far better than routers with WiFi, they have much less work to do. Look at the Ubiquiti/UniFi range, they is even make a WiFi 7 one.

Tudor is correct of course re a high quality access point. However, last week I got the Archer c64 router that you linked to above and set it up easily in Access Point mode.
This is just to boost speeds upstairs, it is connected to the router on an ethernet cable and is delivering solid wifi across the bedrooms at ~360Mbps on our 350 package. We even get ~250 downstairs from it.
So for £35 I deem it good value for my limited needs - the added value is that if and when my current router fails" I have a back-up ready to go - for the short term at least 😎
