High latency - is this reason for the drops in connection and slow speed?

Not sure if I'm having drops due to latency around 19-21, or something else?

Thanks for helping. When my Wi-Fi does drop I also get slow speeds and my PC seems to forget my wifi. password. Not sure if it is related.virgin showing no signal.jpgwindows can't get settings automatically. Enter security key instead..jpgenter network key.png

It seems to be okay once the internet is working again, and I don't need to input my password

FYI I’ll leave this here for Virgin to acknowledge there have been occasions when I’ve been getting less than 30MB on WiFi. Zero speed.

at least my 1GB speed upload is getting there!

Hi @neoanderson,

Thank you for your posts and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm so sorry to hear you've been facing some connection issues recently. I've checked over things on our systems and I'm unable to detect any known faults currently which would explain this. Are things any better for you today?

Thanks,

My download has increased from less than 30mb to 65.1 (upload is 83.4MB) Should this not be the other way around? Also, can you apply the credit to my account for getting less than 30MB, as shown below on your virgin connect app (it shows something went wrong, as the speed is less than 30MB).

Also, how do I get the latency to less than 10?

Your photos shows you connecting to two different VM SSID's?

Have you any VM Pods installed?  I believe the one off compensation only applies if the Pods can't supply the minimum of 30mb.

If you are looking to reduce your latency, then use a wired connection, Wifi is not the medium for low latency.

It seems to be worse, with the pods connected I’m getting no internet( less than 30mb) as per the screenshot of the connect app. Is there any point in having 1GB speeds when the latency will be your high even with the pods connection. I’m not sure how I have two ssid connected, as I’m not sure what this means. I really need a stable connection so I can work from home. Having to pay time back as my internet drops, then going having to travel to the office is very inconvenient.
