Having Issues with my WiFi connection

Hi, did you manage to get a hub 5?

I also have 1 gig broadband and have hub 4, the bed room is about 7 meters away from the hub and I can’t get a signal.
I live in a new build flat so not thick walls, surly I should be getting a signal being not that far from the hub?
how do I go about getting the new hub 5?

apparently the signal is much better?

either that or I will just cancel and head over to sky.

Its not just about wall thickness.  E.g....If they are made of Victorian red bricks - then these are very "iron rich" and make a good Faraday cage to attenuate wifi signals - as do modern thin plasterboard walls lined with aluminium backed insulation !

If those (or something else) is affecting your signal, then a Hub5 wont help.  You need to improve the wifi signal in the property.

Do you qualify for free VM "Wifi Pods" - if so - get one and try it first.

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & TNT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi), Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Hi jenkelly

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues with your WiFi connection.

Whilst your WiFi connection from our end looks OK, I can see that your downstream power levels are out of spec, which will be causing connectivity and speed issues. I'll need to book in a home engineer visit for you so this issue can be fixed 😊

I've sent you a private message so I can arrange this with you.
