Disabling the Privacy Separator Function

I am having trouble wirelessly connecting my computer to my printer and I’ve been told that the solution is to disable the privacy separator function. I have the Virgin Hub 5.

Can anyone help with this please? I’ve tried checking the router settings and there’s no ability to disable it within the dashboard. Many thanks in advance.

Who exactly told you that?

Have you got Child Safety enabled on your account ?  If so switch it off.

What printer make model is it?  I am guessing it is 2.4 only and may be getting "confused" by "channel optimisation" on that band.

In the Hub settings - try switching off the 5GHz wifi band and also disable channel optimisation for a few minutes and see if you can then connect the printer.  If so turn the 5GHz back on and see how it goes
