Did you know that the Hub 4 and Hub 5 are pretty much the same?
No, neither did I but that's what I was told by a VM customer representative the other day when I asked if I could get a hub 5 as our WiFi signal is not great.
So there you have it, they're pretty much the same so it looks like Virginmedia needn't have bothered making a Hub 5 I guess!

They are from totally different manufacturers although they may well use the same WiFi chipset. There are reports on the board that the Hub5 has better WiFi than the Hub4, but then others totally disagree. I hate totally locked down products and have never used either hubs in router mode, always modem mode with my own routers and WiFi access points that I have total control over.

Well apart from fan v fanless, WiFi 5 v WiFi 6, 1 GB NIC v 2.5 GB NIC, different manufacturers, I guess they are the same ……

Customer Service do have a good point, a change of Hub will not markedly change the Wi-Fi range.
It is up to the customer to invest in Wi-Fi system that is well suited to the size and structure of their home !

So the Hub 5 has a fan 😍. I would prefer this Hub 5 only for the built in fan as the Hub 3 does get pretty hot stored in the TV cabinet doing its modem thing.

The HUB 5 doesn't have a fan, it's the HUB 4 that has one.

Yup all hubs give you internet they are all the same😋

Oh well I shall stick with the Hub 3 as it does a fine job with connection 😃

Which one is fanless?

Hub 5. All the Hub's except the Hub 4, are fanless.
