Converting 5 GwH to 2.4 Gwh on Virgin Media router

I spoke to a technical man at Virgin Media.  Because I need to use my home security camera when visiting another country. And 2.4 has a longer range than 5. And because my security camera simply says...

    It's not a CCTV one.  Just a small one costing £40.  It just shows the room I'm in but nothing else.  It's only plugged into a normal socket.  Like the router is plugged in.  This shows you the plug-in-and-play level we're talking about, and mine is this make.  https://www.ezviz.com/uk/product/c2c+1080p/913  It does say only 2.4 GhZ and this is confirmed when I try to reset it.
