I’m on 1Gig.
- Have used the VM Connect app to measure poor WiFi.
- The app invites me to learn about WiFi pods
- Link takes me to a page which asks me to activate WiFi Max
- Link takes me to sign-in page and “upgrade my package”
- No place to order a pod here
Circular links which never lead to a pod ordering page just as the many, many others have reported here previously. But obviously we’re all wrong.
Please could a VM person PM me to get one ordered?

I’ve just been round this loop and further. I had my own WiFi mesh system for a few years due to our difficult house. These units recently packed up but I know we now have WiFi coverage guaranteed so I’ll be fine, right?
Like you I got stuck in the instructions loop a couple of times before I decided to try to contact VM, which is its own challenge. In the last two weeks I have had three 45-minute WhatsApp support chats, each of which ended with me being told a pod order had been raised but then I heard nothing. The second chat was a joke as I had to submit screenshots of the speed test website. I submitted screenshots of 3 below speed rooms and one showing no transfer as I can’t even get a WiFi connection in that room. I was told I can’t have a pod without a reading. So, my WiFi is too bad for me to get a pod? After getting nowhere for a few minutes I asked them to show the recent messages to their supervisor. At this point I could get a pod with these readings, but only “this time”. After reading other messages on here about the challenges of getting pods from VM I have just bought a new mesh WiFi system and I’m celebrating that I’m out of contract with VM and will give someone else a try after over 25 years with VM.
I’d love to see you get a better response but I’m done after fighting the VM “don’t care” system for weeks with no WiFi in half of my house.

This is your opportunity to order a decent Wi-Fi MESH online and have it working tomorrow.
Or to endure many wasted hours on the phone over the weeks / months ahead as
VM do their very best to avoid issuing one Pod at a time to you.
Does your time matter ?

Hello cammack
We're sorry to hear of the connection issues experienced with your wireless networks signal strength and range, we understand the concern and frustration and you raising this via the forums. Welcome to the community.
As advised here, Pod's are available for free to customer on our 1 Gig package for broadband or with a Volt package. Customers who don't match this criteria can also order pod's but they would be chargeable at £8 per month.
If you can provide images of completed wireless speed tests we are happy to help further and order a Pod if required. We also have help here for improving the signal strength and range of the signal in your property.

Here are the screenshots showing me the poor signal and telling me to learn more about WiFi pods. Which then takes me to the screen telling me to activate WiFi max which, as you’ve noted above, I already have on 1 Gig

Well, I don’t have a resolution, other than I spent £££ on a non-Virgin mesh WiFi system. None of the three times I have been told a pods order was placed resulted in an actual order. I have given up on Virgin Media for the WiFi guarantee, and for pods. This will also be a big factor in whether I renew my now expired VM contract or go with a different provider.
