Booster Plug blown in socket

My booster plug (see image) has just blown in its electrical socket. It sparked and smoked.

Its an official Virgin supplied product and I believe its charged for, or has been paid for via my account.

Any idea how I can get these replaced please?

These are no longer supplied. VM now use Pods for WiFi. Use the VM Connect app to scan your house and order. They are free to Volt and top tier users, otherwise £8pm.

That is the second one to fail with a thermal event today.

  • Thanks for your post on our Community Forums Tim_allen, and welcome back!

I'm sorry to hear of that Booster that's blown in the socket - we certainly hope that this hasn't caused any issue in the home, or injured anybody.

Check out the envelope in the top right hand corner and I'll take some details from you.

    Kindest regards,

I am giving this original post a boost because quite a few weeks on, I’m still left without any booster plug option. Despite making a Volt connection as advised via PM.

Im confident that I paid for the original virgin issued plugs (that blew up in my socket) via my contract, so I’m confused why I cannot get a replacement quite a few weeks on.

      Can VM advise please?
