Hi all,
I've had a BQM running for a while now. Results were all good. Late last night I noticed the graph was solid red, i.e. no connection, yet the internet connection was very good. My IP address has not changed. Recreated the BQM and it reverted to normal.
Any idea what would have caused the odd graph/results?
PS I can't find an option in the HUB5 settings for enabling ICMP response. Is it hidden on HUB5 or have i missed something?
Any help gratefully received.
Bill

The Network Pixies 😎
Seriously... most odd - the only times that happened to me was when the IP had changed - they do every year or two ! But as all is OK I would just ignore it and blame the pixies.
Not sure where the ICMP setting is - although I have the Hub5 always in modem mode so dont need to be concerned about it so never looked - someone else should know and advise.

Who knows what goes on with the hub in router mode maybe a flood of ICMP hit your hub and it went to lock down.
For course one thing about BQM is what happens if someone else sets up a BQM on your IP then how does that work when one disables or deletes the BQM for the same IP?🤔

Hi Bill,
I've found that my BQM has changed red for no apparent reason a couple of times in the past, but a reboot of my hub has restarted the BQM. It generally only goes completely red if there's a change of IP address, no connection, or no ICMP response.
There isn't a visible ICMP within the hub 5 settings, and I don't recall having to set it when using the hub 3.
You could turn ICMP on and off on the older hub 2 under Advanced Settings >Tools > Ping> and then tick the box for "Respond to ICMP echo requests sent to WAN IP

I worked it out. I stupidly forgot that I was using Apple's private relay when I created the monitor! Doh!
Thanks to all for the comments, they got me to the solution!
