Stop Service Outage Texts

Hey all,

A month ago we had a problem with our internet and so on the Service Status page I put my number in to receive updates to when the service is back online.

It worked and let me know by text when it was back online - only thing is, I’ve been recieving texts since then on an almost daily basis updating me on other random service issues (some of which I am sure aren’t effecting our postcode).

How do I stop these service status texts?

Sorry to hear of the repetitive text messages referring to a local area outage.

This is a bit of a new one on me...

Check out the purple envelope in the top right hand corner for a private message from me and I'll take some details from you to see if we can put these to a stop for you.

This is happening with me too and is driving me bonkers, how did you get these messages to stop as no way of doing this online. Get several day even when our service is fine!

Sorry to hear you are still receiving notifications after the fault has been resolved and that you haven't been able to stop them.

I’m having the same issue. We had an outage earlier today which is now resolved but I’ve had 5 of these texts in the last 90 minutes. Can you let me know how to stop these please?

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue regarding these text messages, I just wanted to check if any more had been sent since your last post or as this now stopped?

I have had the same issue going on for months. I’m not even a virgin media customer. I’ve tried to block the number and to no avail. It is driving me mad. Why is there no way of unsubscribing from these messages?????
