Still being charged for an O2 Sim card even though account with Virgin has ended..

Hi

I am still being charged for the O2 Sim card. This was tied in with the Virgin package, and sold to us as part of the package which we were incorrectly sold, and was cancelled. When I tried to reply to the last message, it informed me that I couldn't send personal messages, even though it was part of an existing issue! Disgusting service.

Regards

Celia

Hello Celia101.

Thanks for your post and welcome back to our community.

Sorry to hear about the O2 SIM still being active, did you receive the SIM card?

Have you also contacted O2 on the options here It would be a lot quicker that way as we'd need to pass security with you on here, then contact O2 who would in turn need to pass security again.

Please let us know how you get on.

Hi
I have struggled to speak to anyone in O2, they like the rest of the world try to fob people off with a "Virtual" agent, I've spent hours attempting to contact them, and have now put it a formal complaint, connecting this O2 issue with the false selling of a contract with Virgin took ownership of, and cancelled our account. I will also be cancelling my personal account with O2, as I cannot continue to be connected to companies that provide such a poor service, and are also more interested in tying people into false contracts, and then not being available to contact them to discuss the issue. Sorry, but very bad practice.

Hi Celia, I am also going through this hell with o2 / Virgin media. I was very clear I was never going to use the service and was told I would not be charged for it. That changed and virgin media have been taking a payment for it.
Try as I might I cannot get this cancelled.

i will have no course other than to take legal action, my package clearly says “No Mobile”.

o2 are priceless I fail the security check, well I guess that’s because the SIM card went in the bin the day it arrived as I had no use for it and have no device to use it in, as I have been with another mobile provider, since having a phone.

i unfortunately got quite cross with o2 today as this situation really is getting me down.

20years with NTL / Virgin media seems to count for little these days.

Hi Ceila101,

Thanks for coming back to us on this one. We're unable to cancel O2 services via the Community nor do we have access to O2 systems to be able to view the account and look into things. You will need to reach out to O2 directly. You can find their contact options here. If you have X then you can also tweet them @O2.

Many thanks,
