Referrals missing x2 = £100

I have referred two friends months ago, no money paid into my account.

My friends used the codes I gave them after all they must of worked as there now virgin media customers.

Spoken to a virgin media advisor today couldn't here her for the background noise from other advisers, could also not understand what was being said as her English was not very good.

Aklamio ???? I have hold my breath what I think of the communications you have emailed me absolutely disgusting and terrible customer service.

I will never recommend another customer to virgin media as the referral system doesn't work and is totally disjointed.

Will be leaving at end of contract.

Hello KenMac78.

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community.
Sorry to hear about the referrals not being received yet and the poor experience when calling to query these.

All referrals are done by a 3rd party company called Aklamio.

Once the 30 days have passed since your friend has had services then you should've received an email to claim the money.

If the timeframe has elapsed, you will need to make contact with Aklamio directly by either calling 01576 820 030 or sending an email to virgin-media@aklamio.com

Hope that helps.

I'm having same issue, no referral cash rang them and was told it will be another 35 business days! Complete joke and on top of that my internet keeps dropping out and they have not turned up for 2 appointments! I am cancelling this week and they cannot charge me penalties due to them not fulfilling the contract. Will never have virgin again.

Hi Kat7306,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 😊

We're sorry to hear you're waiting on a refer a friend credit, this isn't something we can deal with directly and you would need to contact Aklamio directly

In regards to the service, we're sorry there's been some missed appointments, has this been rescheduled?

Still no response, and the telephone number doesn't work.

In my experience you have 2 hopes of getting the referral money promised, no hope and Bob Hope. Bob Hope is dead BTW.

I am so sorry to hear that you have not yet had your referral @KenMac781 we understand how frustrating this must be, but the team at Aklamio are the correct team to contact in regards to chasing the credit and we would recommend popping another email across to them.

Hi @KenMac781

The phone number has been changed.

Info below from the https://www.virginmedia.com/help/refer-a-friend page

If you don’t think your reward should have been rejected, or if you need more help, get in touch with Virgin Media’s referral partner Aklamio by calling them on 020 4586 6000 or sending an email to virgin-media@aklamio.com.
