Refer-a-friend reward still pending

Hello,

I referred a friend to VirginMedia through the refer-a-friend scheme on 05/09/2023. The transaction has been confirmed by Aklamio; however, the reward is still showing up as pending and I have not received it yet.

I reached out to Aklamio about this issue, but they stated that they are still waiting for confirmation of the pending reward by Virgin Media. I have been advised by Aklamio that Virgin Media usually takes about 12 weeks to confirm pending rewards. It has been almost double that amount of time already. What do I have to do to receive my reward?

Did Aklamio advise if the have reached out to us regarding this?

Thanks for your reply. Aklamio has only stated the following:

We have no direct influence on the time that our partner needs to check the order. We are an external company, and we cannot verify the contracts/orders associated with tracked rewards by ourselves. Due to data privacy, we have no access to the database of Virgin Media. Only our partner can verify orders and confirm rewards. Therefore, we are dependent on Virgin Media's internal procedures and processing time. We remind our partner about pending conversions on a regular basis.

You're not the first person to have had this problem.  Just remember that your contract is with Virginmedia/Virgin02, not with Aklamio.  Do not allow VM to push you off to Aklamio, as you will just fall into a deep hole between them. Aklamio are VM's partner not yours.
