When I received notice for the last price rise for my broadband package I negotiated a price reduction for taking on a new 18 month contract.
The person on the phone removed the Virgin Stream box I had on my account, not something I asked them to do.
Now I see that the Stream box has been upgraded I'm wondering if I asked for it to be switched back on now would it be classed as a change of package thus removing the discount I have now. As it's a free item I would think it doesn't, but I have 8 months left on the price reduction and wouldn't want to lose that in exchange for a free add on.
Any thoughts?

Hello misterT
Thank you for posting in regards to your package and querying a change of equipment.
We aren't able to make changes to packages via the forums and would recommend calling the team on 150 from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111 option 1, option 4 then option 4. This will get you through to the contracts team who will be able to look into this further for you.
Usually any changes to equipment would result in a new contract, the team will be happy to look into this for you and see if this can be completed without impacting your current price.
